| Can you help me find these colours..?
I need your help guys... I have two shells to spray up, but need to find two colours and I'm not having alot of luck as my local model shop sucks and doesnt have much of a range of paint and its tricky to judge paint tin colours via the net etc... Basically I need to find something as close to Ford Grabber Orange as possible: The other colour I'm trying to find is this: I'm hoping there are a few of you out there that will know colours will best match these I've looked around, but sometimes how it looks on the can lid and how it looks on the car are two different things lol Cheers, Simon |

Well using a can will limit you a bit...If you get yourself an airbrush you will have way more options and you can even custom mix colors if need be. Here is the pactra line of spray: Pactra R/C Paint - Model Car Paint - Testors Your best bet if you want to spray would be to find the closest match and then run some test pieces backed with different colors to try to get the best match. It is amazing sometimes how different these colors look with different backing. I would try backing with white then silver, silver alone, and black. |

I'm nowhere good enough to use an airbrush mate lol, I might not even spray the shells myself, just trying to suply the right paint at least. I never knew the backing colour could make such a difference. I had a look round the Pactra iste you posted, a few that look similar, but I just dont know how they will turn out or if I'm choosing a paint thats way off the mark. |

Not a polycarbonate specific paint. But w/ some adhesion promoter, it should work. Paint: TowerHobbies.com | Search Results Adhesion promoter: Amazon.com: BULLDOG ADHESION PROMOTOR 15oz: Automotive |
