Default lexan vs. brake fluid (remodel cherokee)

Well I got a new 1.1 rig so now gotta match up the scaler to the new rig.

First step removing body

Brake fluid was applied the fluid set for few hours and I started to scrub off the paint

Now waiting for the last little bits to free up.

How much fluid are you using? Just enough to cover the paint and let it ripple? Are you watching it? I used body wash on mine a long time ago and it cracked the body. I tired brake fluid on another some years ago and same result. Left on too long.

you should be using "DOT4" break fluid. ive used it many times it might make the lexan hazy but once painted you wont be able to see the haze.

use alot of fluid and keep re-applying and using paper towles to remove the paint till all paint is gone.

it usually takes a whole day or more to get all the paint out of it so take your time

hope this helps

Using enough fluid lol cuz the sides of the body (gravitys a bitch)) as all the brake fluid collects at the bottom just use a gloove to lather the sides to keep them soaked good. Takes a while depending on how thick the old paint was. Never had any problems with using brake fluid. Just takes a little Tim

I used to use PineSol as a substitute, got off all types of paint in similar manner as shown with Brake Fluid.

Kinda not really lol just keep soaking it. I'd say it took mine 12 or more hours on mine but it had thick coats of paint.

It won't make much of a noticable difference in strength.
