Default Poor Mans Pearl

First paint job I have ever attempted on a lexan body.

Picked up some Pactra Outlaw Black (RC250) in the mindset of just doing a sold black shell. Well, while I was at the store I found a bottle of WhitePearl Pactra (RC276) and grabbed it.

Thought was a light dusting of the white pearl and then coating the black over it.

Think it would turn out ok, or just look like grey(ish). ??

TIA

Hard to say, if it's a new body cut off a small piece of lexan from the edge and test it first.

You end up with a bit of a pearl grey color, doesn't look bad though.

I actually do something similar pretty frequently. Here's my recipe for extra metallic black:
1. Spray one light coat of metallic black (can warmed with hairdryer) so it's super smooth and flows nice
2. Spray a super light coat of metallic silver (can at garage temp) so it keeps the tiny dots from spraying
3. Dry the light misting of silver with hair dryer
4. Final coats of black metallic

This gives the metallic from the black paint, but then you see the speckles of silver in the depth of the paint. If you play around enough, it just makes it look even more metallic. I've done this with candy blue instead of silver and it gave it an interesting look.
