| Alternative interior choice for your Proline Cherokee
Have this posted in my class 1 build thread but figured I would share here as well. I wanted to do a Cherokee XJ build for a while now but didn’t care for any of the interior options out there. Being that I am not very good at styrene I was on a mission to find a detailed interior that would fit the body. My friend Patrick of LockedUPRC.com happened to have several H2’s for sale so I bought one and ripped out the interior. Low and behold it’s a near perfect fit. Below are a few pics showing how well it lines up and how its length is near perfect. As the pictures will show, the only trimming you need to do to make it fit is on the sides, the door sills if you will (marked with yellow lines). Trimming these down a little will allow the body to sit down over the interior perfectly. Pics of the H2 interior (which are now sold separately at Lockeduprc.com) H2 Interior under the Proline Cherokee body Trim here And if you dont like that 3rd row seat, the top half can easily be removed and the bottom half can be cut out and replaced with a sheet of styrene for a full cargo area Last edited by sgtsteve; 02-28-2012 at 06:36 PM. |

The H2 bodies are on ebay for 26.00, I have a feeling people will be buying them just for the interior. I myself have one and the interior is very detailed. Good job |

Holy smokes, that looks nice. Any idea if it will still fit with the under tray?

I am seriously interested in how this will work around on the transmission and motor housing for the scx10. I am clicking the buy button as soon as I see how this works!

well... i think i found the last pro-line interior and floor pan for sale on this earth, as they have mysteriously discontinued them right as i set out to build my scale Cherokee rig. It wasn't easy, after 3 separate orders (that were all cancelled due to inaccurate inventory's) i found both the interior and floor pan on separate "mom and pop" websites... both were the last in stock. I was a pain in each of their butts as i called before and after i ordered to make sure they physically put them into a box with my name on it... I got lucky, as i had spent the money getting everything else including paint, and they were very important for the build. I know this isn't relevant or important....but im just so happy i found them. I was very depressed that my scale rig would be lacking the essential parts. I even considered buying used (badly painted) ones on ebay, but even those didn't exist! Thats all. Now im going to try and find out why they discontinued them, as they seemed so popular without any drop in alternatives.. |

I ended up using the interior in the Hummer H2. Here is the build thread, which is way overdue for an update Sgtsteve's Class 1 H2 |
