Question Body mounting ?'s

Hey there.... I plan on reworking my scx10. New plans include a Velineon system, 1.9 Pitbulls, updating to axials new drivetrain, and a new, shiny Hilux body. I would like to use the body posts, but I'm having a hard time transferring the body post layout to the body so I know where to drill the holes.... Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

It looks sooo much better if you use Velcro instead. You can actually make a small plastic plate and either bond the body posts to the plate or screw them in and still use the adjustable posts. Then just put the Velcro on that. It's super easy to do.

That's not a bad idea! How well does the velcro hold? I've used velcro on various other things, ie holding recievers and esc's and whatnot, but with living on the Oregon coast and spending a lot of time in the sand it didn't seem to work very well... Does it work better with bodies?

Those strips are pretty wide. I can pick the truck up by the cab.

They hold well, too well TBH. When I had a full strip like that I couldnt get the body off without tearing my mount up. I cut the strip down some, and now it barely sticks at all

Velcro works very well though! Just make sure you get the black fuzzy stuff, not the stupid industrial strength plastic crap. It doesn't work very well for this application.
