not a good idea. its not designed for polycarbonate bodies. it will flake off most likely the first time the body gets hit. standard spray paint does not have the chemical adhesion adjents needed for bonding to lexan bodies. yes it would work great for ABS hummer wheels which are plastic. |

Personally, I'm not a fan of all color-matched Jeep JKs. I've seen plenty of them and they just don't look good IMHO. I like to have the contrast that the black flares and top provide. Pics of my 1:1 to compare. |

| Re: solid color Jeep JK... Am I the only one that finds humor in Sh0rtBus driving a YELLOW jeep 1:1 looks great! My plan is to go ahead and paint it all one color...if I don't like it I can always go back and add the black flares and roof later. I do like the black grill on your rig |

Black grille was done with Plasti-Dip. I peeled it off a few weeks ago because it finally started getting nicks, etc. from rocks & bugs in it. Eventually I'll paint it again with Dupli-Color spray-on bedliner. And my screen name actually came to be because of the color of my Jeep. |

I know they have a dulpi color adhesion for paint to plastic. Its a clear spray that gets the paint to stick to plastic. Not sure how it would work on the lexan bodies and be upon impact. Thats a nice drag car. | |

I recommend the Tamiya gunmetal. It has very fine flakes. Very scale. |

I've found that Createx's pearlized paints look like scaled down super fine metallic paint. This is Pearlized silver mixed with a dash of transparent black to give it a slightly darker shade. |
