Default My clod body paint job!

Wanted to do a thread on my clod body paint job. I will be using it on a scx10. Still not sure if I want use it for the 1.9 or the 2.2 scx10 body.

this is a mock up of the two-tone scheme I am looking to do.

I filled in the sunroof and built a cowl hood. This was my first styrene project I have done. I feel it came out pretty good for my first attempt.

I was wondering where you were going with the red, but it looks great with the black. And that cowl hood turned out great. Well done!

I plan on the silver pinstripe between colors. I am a little nervous though, never have done it before and don't want to mess it up!!

Any tips!

Cheat and use thin pinstriping tape . They have it in just about any color you want. And you can just peal it off , unlike paint if you mess up.

I definately like the pinstripe tape idea. I am going to clear coat it, Can I clear over the tape or should I clear it first?

I believe you can, but I would test it on something else first.

I want to do the bed rails with diamond plate. Any ideas on how to do that? Also want a toolbox for the bed would like to make it myself from styrene. Is there some scale diamond plate decals or something to make it look real?
