Try searching ....just about every clod body has the hood patched up, I am sure if you take a little time and use the search you'll find what you need. Just make sure your spelling is correct or you'll never get good results.

Not sure, but maybe this will help. I just made a hood scoop to cover the hole in the hood. Clod customization- How to make a hood scoop and cab back. |

its glazing putty from any automotive store or Walmart. I think it cost me around $3-4. It dries fast, clean and requires no hardener or anything, and will bring you everlasting wealth and fame..... Ok so I made the last part up. But this stuff is really good for smoothing over small defects or seams. Dont try to fill anything 1/8 deep or it will crack.

| Re: need help with body building Not sure if you've ever tried to work with styrene or not, but a body from scratch is nothing short of a work of art. They're VERY tough to do and keep the realistic details. Look up pardonmyn00b, dready and a few others in the scale section. IMO, you're better off to start with a Clod body and modify it to fit your build. Either way, good luck and post a build thread for us to see. |

Don't use CA glue on styrene. Use Tenax7 or Plastruct, which are specifically made for styrene welding. Also, as stated, the truck you want to make is already a very popular and readily available body. An experienced styrene builder would have a very hard time making one completely from scratch. I suggest you buy a Clod Buster body (either new or used) and customize it. You can fill in or cover the hole in the hood, shorten the bed if you want (it's molded as a longbed), and even make it into a Blazer. You can make incredible things out of styrene but I think you'll just end up much happier with a nice usable Clod body, than with a crooked shoebox looking home job. Plus, you'll have more time to job hunt . |

I would do as others have said and use a Clod body. You can go from mild or a stock truck look, or wild a not so stock look, |
