Default Painting shock springs

hey all,
hope this hasnt been discussed before, didnt see it if so, lol but,,
What would be the best way to paint the shock springs ? is it worth it or will it just crack ?
I was thinking about painting the springs red on my Wraith.

i run white losi's on my scaler . i made a little scotchbrite wheel for my dremel and went to town on them. after i used some flat back krylon and the came out pretty good. the gloss might last longer but mine still look good after a year. hope this helps

ya just the rattle can stuff. i ve heard of people using rit dye too. but not sure of the results

Thanks again, I went ahead and painted them. Cleaned them with some acetone then a couple couple coats of paint to end up with this:

Those look pretty good.

I used red tool dip for mine. They are flexible and any of the color dips should work. Try it on a couple of old springs first, till you get hang of it. They are kinda tricky since the dip starts to dry almost immediately. If they start to come off, another dip should cure them.
