Default Question for the painters

I painted this rig a shiny red, put a shiny clear coat on it and it was shiny.

I gave it a lite sanding and went to put 2nd shiny coat on, well after it dried it was dull. My old eyes grabed the dull coat can by mistake.

My question is, If I give it another coat of shiny ,will it come out shiny again.

thats a good question. Id try it out on a scrap piece before I risked it on the body. Just my 0.02 Maybe give it a light sanding first. As long as its the same brand of paint I see no reason why it wouldnt work.

I always sand between coats and it is the same brand. But I 'm starting to like it ,like it is.

Yes.
Although there can be a slight change in color.(darker)
But nothing to worry about.

Mark your cans.

Leave it flat and do some kind of graphics in gloss. Maybe ghost flames or stripes of some kind.

Not really sanding with 2000 grit. Thats probly one of my faults in painting ,the clean thing.
