Default styrene dust??

Just a little curious about how invasive styrene dust is? I like to sit in the living room with the family and tinker away with my styrene work, while they play/watch tv. Is a small amount of dust from filing and mild sanding ok? or am i better to keep it to the shop? All heavy sanding is kept in the shop but when it comes to straighting an edge for glue and what not.

From what I've read (which isn't too much) in small amounts it isn't toxic. Large amounts can/will start to cause headaches and nausea. I do the same thing as you , minimal amounts of sanding in the house. But I wouldn't let the "ankle biters" chew on any.

You can save the dust and mix it with MEK to make a filler 'paste', it makes a permanent filler joint.
