| Axialchevy's Clod crewcab
He brought me the clod body and said he wanted a two tone but the way he wanted it i didnt think he would like it after painted, so i asked if i could make some changes he said you have at it (painted his 1.1 also) Here are some basic pictures of how it went, remember folks its nothing special Heres the day i got this unit. he used brake fluid to try an strip the paint off...... no no So sanded down the body and found some spots that wouldnt look right so i started some body work..... Got that putty sanded down and this is how looks Switch to other bad spots on the body filled them in and sanded down the driver side a bit Wet sanded the body down using 600 grit washed with hot water an soap let it dry and see if any thing else is needed Ok this shows the clod under primer! Wet sanded it down with 600 grit again getting ready to lay the base color here is the base coat. red fire metallic Here is the layout of the stripe i done yes its painted too lol Here's the both red an black laid out ready for clear coat Heres the clear on didnt turn out bad if i must say so, the owner was happy Thanks for looking! |
