Looks great. Nice and smooth!

I am in the process of vacuum-forming a hood for my buggy, and that soft lexan picks up every blemish and roughness. Looks like you are doing it right.

What thickness lexan are you using? I used .040, and after the mold, it's wicked thin. Just a head's up.

Maybe not, give it a shot. your form is a lot smoother then mine. Plus, it's a lot bigger in surface area. I say, have at it. Waiting to see how it turns out!

The thicker the material the more ability you will be able to draw it over the corners. You'll need 0.060" for sure on such a large piece.

Yes, I read that after I saw it in the related thread section. So good. A little lotion to help keep it smooth... Who would've thunk. Brilliant.

Thats the fattest post I've ever seen, after I got to the end I had a hard time finding my way back.

I think it looks great.

When I got married (back in 92...gosh I'm getting old) I had a '78 Scout II (345/auto with lift and 35's),I'd love to see this done (and you taking orders!)

What the heck!?! Did anyone else notice the similarity here? Somehow I don't think the intent of "meaningful posts" is to copy someone else's and change a few words to help your count get get to 30...

EDIT: Just saw he did the same thing in the "plasti-dip" thread... LOL

Sorry for the derailment, I just wanted to share the laughter.

You guys might want to calm down on talk of making many or possibly selling/buying. Its against the rules, just letting you know before the mods come in.

Why is the body so big? Looks to be the same size as a Slash body, which seems too big to fit the scaler world I'd imagine you are building this for.

I have made no mention of selling these. And yes this particular mold will be for my slashes. I have another roughed out mold I started for my crawler as well. Also I have a widened 13.5 wheelbase bwd whiplash Foff truck that is going to sport this body. attn mods I AM NOT SELLING THESE

There ya go
