Default VW Safari

Does anyone make a nice 1/10 VW Safari body? Some people call it a "thing". I was thinking it might good on an EXO.

That "thing" is awesome! (pun intended) Yeah I'm still looking too. I even sent pics of one to pro-line racing. I thought I would atleast give it a shot. Unfortunatly I never heard back from them.....

Yeah dont know if proline would do a custom order deal but all I could find is people that took regular bug bodies and modded them to look like the baja 1000 bugs

Wasen't really asking for a custom, just kinda showing them something cool that would possibly sell. They already have a manx out that looks really cool.

The smaller pic you have there, is the Kubelwagon. These can be found on ebay in 1/6 scale. Not cheap but very cool and would only require some minor "adjustments" in the body to make it look more like the Thing. I don't think there is a 1/10 scale, but scratch building one would be fairly easy...all straight lines.

Personally, I would love to see someone do a 1/6 scale Baja Thing.

Like this...Wild Thing -

...or this!
