I was wondering whats the best way to remove paint from a clear rc body?

If you used the water based stuff use wallpaper stripper.

It's all going to depend on type of paint and the type of material to. Lexan can be kind of tough because a lot of chemicals react with it causing it to melt or deform ruining the body itself so you may be sol. --Dan |

There are many threads that suggest automotive brake fluid (not brake cleaner). I recently used brake fluid to strip a body and it worked pretty good. I still had t scrub pretty hard and it took several days. I unfortunately let it sit for about 5 days and ended up fogging the body where I had scrubbed the body. Ended up having to paint it on the outside.

DOT3 or even DOT4(non-synthetic) brake fluid will work but like mentioned before, it's not going to just come right off it's going to take some elbow grease.

Just read the latest issue of r c car action . April 2013 , section in the back of mag. (Tailpipe) , written about ,unbelievable rc (brand) .Paint unspray (part name) Says it erases paint job from lexan. Im thinking im trying it. Pn#1187962 $ 12.95 |
