Default forming lexan panels

So with my latest buggy build I started thinking that I may try and make a formed hood out of lexan. Has anyone tried to shape thin lexan with a heat gun and a small mold? I'm thinking of trying to make it work.

I've seen it done to preformed bodies to clear motors or pipes on nitro RC's, so I guess with some practice you could make actual pannels.
Sorry didn't mean to say the N word

If you want to do stait line bends I would say use something more localized, like a small torch because I would thing a heat gun will heat the whole thing up and make it more rounded, at least thats how it is with metal.

It will, I know it we have a frikin hot heat gun! It can mold my .125" lexan no problem! Its some thick stuff! And it is pretty strong afterwards, doesnt weaken at all! Sounds like a good idea, I thought about that too!

Well if I am not mistaken I think JIA built a custom made hood from a jeep body for one of hiis tubers. I think he used some kind of epoxy and molded a hood scoop in some putty and then filled it with the epoxy. It turned out nice. I will try and find some pics of it.
