Default Anti Gloss

Would anyone be able to point me in the direction or give me some tips on painting a Dingo Axial body? I know there are extensive guides and tips on painting a body. More specifically I am wondering if there is a way to paint it black from the inside without having the gloss look from the shell itself, as in is there some sort of coating I can put on first or a coating I can put on the outside? I'm looking for a flat or military black color. I realize I could paint the outside but it will scratch...

Thanks in advance!

A few coats on the outside will be tough to scratch off.
You could paint both the inside and outside so it won't be as noticeable when it does scratch.

i paint mine on the outsides with self etching primer first, 2 coats of that and 3 or 4 of the color you want, in your case flat black,, and it will hold up just fine,, if it scratches it looks scale buddy!

PS-55 (Tamiya) will give you the look you're after.

Black or dark grey (for lexan) on the inside, PS-55 on the outside.

Wet sand the outside of the shell with 600-800 grit.

I picked up[ some of that Clear Coat but ended up not using it because the paint on the outside came out mat enough.
