Default Proper Clear coat for rustoleum acrylic

I just shot my hilux body w/ rustoleum acrylic enamel and wanted to shoot a matte clear on it.

I did a test with the pictured can of clear and it looked like it wrinkled the color a bit. I color sanded that and shot another coat of clear (im waiting for it to dry now)

are these paints compatible? I don't know if the clear is an acrylic.
if not what matte clear can I use?

thanks.

the problem isnt the clear,, its the base coat you laid down,,, it says right on the can gloss,,

your not going to achive a matte color when using a gloss base coat,,

you would need to spray the body with matte orange then matte clear to acheave the process you want,,,

makes sense, but when you sand the base coat it looses all its gloss anyway.

after my second coat of the matte clear on the test piece, it turned out great.

maybe ill have to experiment with curing time. I shot the test piece with only about 30 min in between.

there was just a tiny amount of wrinkling (which could be from a number of things, including operator error)

we'll see how it goes.

Welp, it doesnt work.
Tried it on the bed today and it pulled the base right up.
So after some more sanding ill just leave it gloss. It'll get dull soon enough wheeling it.
