Question Lexan body modification help

Ok, I know there are alot of threads discussing lexan work, but I have a question that I haven't seen discussed before. I ordered a body that has a moded in spoiler on it. The spoiler is more like a wedge that sticks up on the back of the roof. I was wondering what would be the best working and best looking way of going about getting rid of this bulge/spoiler.

Thanks

build (or buy) a scale roof rack, the spoiler wont be so noticable then. it doesnt look that bad..specially since you consider the fact that its a Baja Cherokee and thats what the 1:1's look like.

I was just wondering if there was a way to get it off and make it look good. This is the only Lexan type RC body made of a Jeep Cherokee, and its a 2 door. I just want it to be similar to my real Cherokee. If I can't get it off I will just leave it, but I think it is too big.

Don't get rid of it! The downforce from the spoiler will make you unstoppable on descents!

You need lightning decals for that spoiler. It will crawl better then.

Cut out what is black, then take a heatgun (or a lighter and heat along the groove of the "Spoiler" (red) and simply fold it down and hotglue it from the inside, ta-da

Good Idea! That is more what I was thinking, I'll try it once I get the body. I just hope that any contours of the body dont mess this method up.

you might try shoe goo instead of hot glue if yo go with that meathod. its cool, no melted lexan or bubbled paint, also is very flexable

Well, I got home today, and there was a box at my doorstep, it was the body. I quickly went to drawing and cutting. I took it to work with me and used our heat gun to finish the rest. I think it looks pretty good for my first try. I can't get rid of all the ripples in the body where I did the modification, but hey, its a crawler its supposed to have dents.

You should have heatgunned in some more crumbled sheet metal!
It would have looked cool, like trail damage!
