| painting question
Ok I want to redo my hilux and would like to do the chrome/silver under the final coat so when the final coat gets scratched out on the trail it would look like the sheet metal is showing through. My question is once I spray the chrome/silver if I put a couple coats of clear over it and then the final color coat would the clear protect the chrome/silver from being scratched when the color coat is scratched or will it all get scratched? If there is an easier way of doing this please let me know. thanks, Kenneth |

If it is a clear body which I don't think it is you would but silver on the inside and your color on outside. I would say if you sed a good paint it would home better than the cheap stuff

since your truck is a hard body, you have to use your modeling skills. you might want to spray multiple of coats of silver/chrome first. then your main color.
