Default Painting with pictures question

I am wanting to paint my clod and use a picture with the paint. Traditionaly I have been told that people use a magazine picture. I was wondering if this is the only type of picture that can be used or can I print off a picture and use that. Please let me know if you have any experence with this. Thanks!

Not sure of how (or if) it can be done on a hard body, but with Lexan you use this special glue from someplace like XXXMain to put the picture on the inside of the body, then paint.

What about using water slide decal paper like on a model? That could be one option. Do a google search. There are a bunch of companies that sell it.
