Thank you sir! It going to be an expedition, I have an odd love for SUVs. Sorry for the lack of updates, I havent really had anything to show...its taken me 2 nights to cut the other side out to match and get my filler in the fron so I can start the grill....

It's looking awesome man. I've never seen a expedition rig. Should be a one of a kind.

So, I ruined this body. I tried to build the roof up in layers and didnt know better than to not use styrene cement to build these large pieces, after sitting overnight the roof bubbled up something wicked. I got it straight but by that point it was made of waaay too much filler, combine that with using the wrong bondo compound on the sides and its more trouble than its worth (not too mention it was also fragile). I have found a new body and Im going to try again but while I was looking I saw this and loved it

The glass is rough....kinda lets it down as soon as I get some more supplies in I will redo it. Sorry for wasting everyones time, I will try again but Im going to do something easier like an excursion first

Nice work man. Nobodies let down for sure! Do you use a power sander or a sanding block/paper? I use a mouse sander for the main stuff and then get down to sanding sticks and such for detail. As for the roof bubbling up, that rood rack hides it very well. I'd say you did a helluva job sir. Buy yourself some Instant CUre for the CA glue and the next roof will go alot smoother, plus you don't have to wait overnight for the glue to dry. Check out my thread in Paint and body for some links.

Thank you sir, halfway through attempt number 1 I started using a palm sander..tried a belt sander too but holy crap that was too much. I wish I had paid more attention to your thread at the begining, it would have saved me from ruining the first attempt.

Wow, the second attempt look awesome. Is that an actual excursion or a concept?

It was an artist rendering of the 2014 expedition, the real mccoy will probably look nothing like it lol, thanks for the kind words!

That makes it ever more of a one of a kind. I like the look. Wish I had one of those ford truck bodys. I got a silverado that will hopefully be going to Hoosierdady soon. Just need to find a second one.
