Default Fast Lane Foose F150

I havent seen anyone use this truck yet, so I picked one up and found out why.

As you can see, its about an inch too narrow BUT at 5.5" tall the height is spot on and the length is spot on. The details are great and come out perfectly, my only complaint is the bed so I will redo that.

As you can see the wheel wells dont even line up on the bed and it doesnt drop far enough

So what do you do in this situation? I did this, and im going to add 1.25" to the middle.

Im currently working on a Newbright F150 right now and this body is my waiting on the mailman project but I will try to update with my progress regularly.

Its slow going because I am allowing the full 24 hours for my epoxy to cure but I got the first pieces of filler in, im going to build up the plastic and then go back and sand down - try to use as little filler putty as possible

IMG_4169 by sgtbforza, on Flickr
the bumper is just sitting here in this pic thats why it looks crooked but im happy with the width, I think its going to look right once done I have it siiting next to a proline silverado for reference

Nothing too exciting, just another bit of filler and another 24hours of cure time. Just so you guys know Im not putting this up because I think im awesome, but putting it up here I kinda commit to it and it ensures I will finish it lol

Thank you sir! This truck will not be finished though, whats the point? Proline makes a body just like this - its not unique enough.....

This expedition should turn out just fine though

You might be right, the 1:1 wheelbase is 119" so I just went for 11 15/16" and called it good lol

edit - I think whats throwing it off are the dimensions of the windows, I will be scooting them back soon.

looking good, the camper shell adds a very nice touch took it from a street truck look to more of a trail ready look

Subbed. Think there should be more SUV bodies available, but in the meantime I'll watch this thread rather than complain.

Thank you! This update doesnt look much different but Ive put a lot of work in - I have filled in all the F150 details on the front and now it looks more like an Expedition. I have the general shape good so hopefully tonight I can start hacking out windows!

Right around 6" if memory serves correctly.

Not really update worthy but it was a big deal for me to see the windows hacked out (still need to clean the cuts up).

This is coming together nicely the rear windows really turned out great. Are you still planning for the f-150 or are you going more expedition/excursion as of now? I'm just wondering how you were planning on splitting the rear to look like a cap if doing the truck? Keep the updates coming, its actually inspiring me to get some work done instead of just sitting on my arse......
