Painting a Honcho

Hey guys,

I just got my clear Honcho body and need a little advice. For the light buckets I found this at Amain Hobbies

Spaz Stix "Mirror" Chrome Spray Paint (3.5oz) [SZX10009] | Paint & Supplies - A Main Hobbies

Would this be my best bet for the light buckets? Would I need some kind of over coat over this? Is there perhaps a better product for painting the light buckets?

Also as for the LEDs for these light buckets, I have the Axial light set that has 4 white LEDs and 2 red. For the lights running to the light buckets I was thinking of using polarized mini deans connectors so I can take the body off. Is this an acceptable method, or are there better connectors for disconnecting the bodies lights when needed.

Thanks for any tips,
Chris

LED's normally emit light forward...
not much the sides and nothing to the rear...
so a reflector behind the LED would be moot.

So choosing a color for the headlight buckets
would simply be for the purpose of an external look.

Think I'll just end up painting mine black.

Now if the chrome look is what your after...
You might think to line the inner side of the bezels
with aluminum foil... shiny side out (forward).

Most claimed chrome paints
usually end up looking more like an aluminum-silver color
when applied.

Good idea on the foil. Yeah its just for a scale look, not function. My 1:1's are shiny, so I'm just tryin to get close to it. Thanks for the foil idea "thumbsup"

I have painted my headlight bezels black too and have also used like cake pan foil to build buckets closest thing to chrome I have found I have also seen guys use like foil tape or something along those lines all up to u for the lights I just like to experiment and see what I like the best
