Default Honcho body for comp buggy

Well guys I'm fixing to join the ranks of the great custom body builders around here.
Since I've always been a scale guy at heart and have a few scale builds under my belt. I've decided to add a little scale flair to my 2.2 comp buggy since I've felt like it lacked something chassis/body wise.

I will be cutting an axial honcho cab down to fit my 3.5 inch wide tcs boulder chassis.

Now to the tech I have at the moment.
Cab true center found and cut lines marked.

Shoe goo will be my glue of choice with .030 polycarb as reinforcement of cab joint.

Can be done. I had a hilux that I did the exact same thing you are doing (well mine was styrene) to fit my old ridgecrest. Good luck and update progress.

A comp body can't be narrowed.

Technically speaking when finished it will be considered 1 hood panel, 1 roof panel, and 2 side panels which if I'm reading the rule book correctly is perfectly legal.
I plan on making it easily removable incase a tech official will not allow it to pass. I had the body just collecting dust and decided why not try to add some scale to my comp endeavor. That's the fun of our sport, trying to do something you've never done before. Also known as the road less travelled or pushing the envelope.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. If the honcho body was styrene It wouldn't be an issue for me as I've built plastic models since is was a kid. Polycarb is a new venture for me ie different glues, flex rates, and such.

Here's the honcho with 3.5 inches out of it

It's right at 6 inches wide at the edge of the fenders

Cut the cab extension off

I've still got a lot of work to do.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks man, after working on it a little more I'm thinking it'll look better if I cut the top off of it at the bottom of the window.
