Default Anyone paint the stock axial Roll cage?

I just ordered an Axial Recon G6 kit and Id like to paint the stock plastic roll cage. My question is not whether or not you can paint it Im more curious as to what paint would be best to use. Of course Id like to avoid soft paints anything that would scratch easy. Can I use some sort of clear epoxy over the paint to make it more durable?

X2 on the Krylon Fusion.
I painted the entire cage and front bumper on my Wraith. I cleaned the parts with SEM Plastic/Leather prep, sanded with a 400 grit scuff pad and cleaned again before painting. It's holding up quite well.

The Krylon Fusion is made to adhere to plastics better.
Don't forget to give it a bunch of clear coats after you get
your desired color painted,. The clear coats help to keep
the scratching down.
