Default Something a little different

Well going to try and build an early 70's K5 with my mud truck.
Started with .020 styrene
doubled it up for .040



Got it cut and bent.



Bed cut out.



Waiting on glue to dry for some body work.



Had to sit it on the chassis for looks.

A little body work after getting home from work.Waiting on body filler to dry.





A little sanding and another skim layer later tonite maybe after hellz kitchen.

Did manage to get 2nd coat on and sanded for tonite.









YES the wife made me vaccuum the floor after this sanding mess.

How did you bend it? I havent worked with styrene much yet. I have only used it in a sheet to replace a cover in an rc boat.

A little heat not too much and not enough,won't work.

Awesome, thanks. I'm working on a Comanche body right now and was thinking of building a styrene roll cage for it.

Don't know about the styrene roll cage.Use brake line and braze it.

A little more.Laid down a coat of flat to help find high/low spots.Found a few.

Got it almost finished today.Now I need to make the rear and side windows.



A little paint.Flat black and cpl coats of clear.

was the roof meant to come out like that? looks awesome tho I'm soo jealous of the body work you guys do all i did was sand and paint my f350 body
