Need Jeep beige color - none found I just received my bottle of Faskolor Fasbeige. Yuk! It's only good if I want to paint mud. It's poo brown! want that desert sand color I see on new Jeeps. It's almost a cross between cream and light tan. http://gearheads.org/wp-content/uplo...p-Wrangler.jpg THIS COLOR! How do I get this? I wouldn't mind a little more sand in this color, a little darker. Can I mix the Fasbeige with Faswhite? Or is a little yellow needed too? OK, not that color, geez! Lets try again! http://images.gtcarlot.com/pictures/50798105.jpg |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found Either of these work. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3671-51761.jpg |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found ooh I like it alot |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found That's it! That's what I want! What's either of these? What color and brand paint is that? |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found Krylon Fusion for plastic. Khaki and pewter. |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found You mixed it? or layers? Looks painted from the outside. I'll be painting on Lexan, so I'll be painting from the inside. So I'll use the Khaki first and then lay down pewter over that, right? Krylon fusion is a nice thick paint, I don't think an undercoat will benefit it. Plus if it chips I'll be able to better patch it if I don't use an undercoat. And I already have the fusion in black for the interior. Sweet! And the fusion paint is only $4 for a huge can at Walmart. |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found No I didn't mix them. Khaki is on the left and the pewter it's on the right. Yes I painted the outside, but you can use on the inside. |
Re: Need Jeep beige color - none found Oh, I see now, I thought it was a shadow. Both nice crawler colors. I'm partial to the Khaki and it's in stock at my Walmart 1 mile away, so I'm going with that and a black interior and will use Fusion satin on the hardtop painted on the outside. The fusion satin is a bit too shiny though, I might see if they have a flat, but satin paints are harder and will resist scratches better. Thanks so much for helping me! |
