Default Use it, or kill it with fire?

Wanted to crawl for cheap, so I got a Mad Torque. I had this shell just laying on the shelf. What say you? Kill it or leave it?

Peel the decals off and shoot some flat black on it...

Paint colors and scheme seems to go well with the rest of the truck. I would say keep it and remove old decals and apply some new ones...

Are you happy with it?

If so, keep it like it is and run it.

I like it just because I haven't seen it done, and it's the right color. Haha.
Now I need a BEC and stronger servo. Thinking a Castle 10 amp and a Solar D772 should do me fine on the cheap.

That's all that matters.

The CC BEC and D772 should treat you very nicely in the Mad Torque. Make sure to adjust your BEC using the Castle Link, so that the servo can run on 7.0v to get the safest amount of power out of the D772.

You think the full 7.4V is too much?

And thanks for the help/compliments.

Oh no, not at all. You can run it up to that much; I run my D772s between 7.4v and 7.8v.

7.0v is a happy medium if it's just for bashing around. It'll keep the servo within the limits that is specified on HobbyPartz's website. That's what I meant by the "safest amount of power".

Thanks again. 7v should give me more than enough torque, and keep the Solar happy too.

Will do.
Anyone know what the voltage limit of the stock servo is?

Looks great to me. You can't beat those Exceed crawlers for the price. I just hope they keep parts available. I love my Maxstone cause it's a shafty.

How is the wheel speed on that thing? My RS10 is slow as slow gets.

It's pretty slow, but a bunch of torque.
