Default Painting TF2 side and turn markers

I just got my TF2 and I'm getting ready to do some painting. My first question is what and how are you guys painting the turn markers (blinkers) and side markers? Are you using some kind of transparent paint or something on the inside? Also what type of primer and paint are you using for the body? Thanks for the help.

Side markers and taillights-Think alot of them were done with tamiya paints. But surely any translucent paint would do. I left mine clear, gives it that "euro" lens looks from the '90s

Body-some have used modem specific paints and primers, while others used automotive marketed products. I used auto primer with testors color coat the 1st go round, then cheaped out with some krylon fusion the 2nd time

Red and orange Sharpies are perfect for "painting" the lenses.

No need for primer for the body, just use a spray paint that is specially formulated for plastics. Krylon For Plastics is a great paint to use.

Thanks for the info, I would have never thought of sharpies.

This link didn't pull up any product, it just pulled up the ebay site. Maybe you could try again. I'm interested in what product you used for the lens. Thanks.

Search "tamiya clear paint". They make every color for lenses. I suggest the jar over the spray. Just brush it on the back side of the lens.
