| need info re modifying a Wraith chassis
Hey guys, I'm learning and pretty new at this but diving in deep. I want to modify a Wraith chassis. Maybe Narrow the center, widen the rear to take another body. Maybe lower the overall height of the cage. I will look at the stock kit and find the proper size Tap so can drill and thread some new holes. Looks like people also just use links. What are you guys using to match the tube for the Wraith chassis? Anyone just cut it and epoxy it back? Maybe drill and use a metal pin or dowel for strength? I'm new so just throwing out my initial thoughts. Been reading tons of threads but thought this might fast track me to some answers. I know I can get some metal and braze, but that seems like a little more expense and above my skill as of now. |

When I modified my old Honcho cage, I used M3 x 16mm set screws. Drilled and screwed in to one side, and drilled and used CA glue for the other side.

I narrowed the front. After some cutting, heating, and bending I think it turned out great. Back is next Got back done now. Did you get started on yours yet? Last edited by THX_138; 12-22-2015 at 09:09 AM. |
