How did you cut the hard body with great result and hood with minimum gap? I used sewing thread but not straight enough

The cleanest and straightest way is thread. You just need to take your time. I score all my cuts with an xacto first then use thread if I need a super clean cut. If not then just use the xacto with a #11 blade and clean the edges up. There are quite a few threads on this with pics but it's more or less trial and error and a lot of patience to get it down pat.

I've had great success using thin aluminum strips as a guide line when using the thread method. Give it a try.

Razor saw and patience. For the smaller, more complex parts, use sewing thread and take your time.
