Default My first scale paint job

It's not a crawler, but I'll bet that body will look good on an SCX10 chassis. I built this cause the Subaru Brat was my first real RC anything, and I am thrilled to have it again. I procrastinated for months on painting it because I was scared to mess it up, but I'm glad I finally dove right in. It's not perfect in the details but not bad. I'm not totally inexperienced. I used to build models when I was a kid, so I knew a little bit. For the paint techies, the main color is Testors once coat Laquer in Revving Red. It's shinier than it looks in the pictures but if I had it to do again I would coat in with clear laquer. The details are mostly Tamiya enamels with some testors enamel. The driver is painted in Acrylics, both Tamiya and Apple Barrel from Walmart.

Let me know if this pic link works or not

Nice job on the paint, looks good. I would definitely have to have the seats in the bed if I had a Brat though, I wanted a real one for that reason alone!

BTW, if you have a free photobucket account, you can copy the IMG code on your pictures and they will show up here without having to follow a link.

Thanks for the comments and the tip. If you find seats for the bed let me know. I remember that. They had handles too!

Yep it looks awsome, but you need two rear buckets with handles, you can probably find the seats but you most likely need to build the handles en all, but again looks great man. My buddy used to scare the shit out of us in his at the dunes here in Oregon (no place to be riding backwards!) unless your one of thos thrill seekers.
