| Eyes for my Hilux
so i've been running my Hilux cab for awhile now and i always wanted to get headlights on it but i didn't want to spend too much so what i did was purchased this light bar kit from a friend (from hobbyking i presume) and made my Hilux some eyes. a little gluing and cutting... and it's done... i have to make LEDs for it now. but overall my Hilux now looks so much better. |

If you don't mind me asking dextan, are these Hilux bodies always expensive and a pain in the a$$ to get you'r hands on? I have the cheesy clear shell version that is called a Yota, but the detailed Highlift version you have is what I want.

Why did you get that? I don't get it. The tamiya ones are cheap and made for the body.

| Re: Eyes for my Hilux If you have a link or something to help guide me to a cheap Tamiya Hilux body I would give you a big fat virtual hug, the clear poly shell was only $24.00 but I can not seem to find the tamiya body anywhere for sale other than over priced e-bay ones. I like the details of the tamiya and how they build like a model.

Hammer, sorry for the late reply. i actually didn't measure it and it's not with me right now (left it home) but here's the exact thing i ordered and used... Radio Control Planes, Helicopters, Cars, Boats, FPV and Quadcopters - Hobbyking* RockBiter, i actually paid only $17 for the front cab on ebay if i remember it right, plus shipping ofcourse. another <$20 for the front grill/wiper set. from a seller in Japan who sells a bunch of Tamiya stuff. and as much as a lens tree is not that expensive, what i really need are the buckets and intl shipping is a b!t@h so made do with what i have hehe. the rear cab cover i got from a friend's RC4WD kit. thanks guys! appreciate it. |
