Everyday I try to out do my self, cause this the custom Toyota scale Rig, I been wanting to build for years, I have been slowly buying and stock piling parts to build this rig for years also, and it finally starting to look good, I love fabricating that the best part of the built, you make it your own, I have put my love, my blood, my sweat and my tears in this rig more than any other rig I have built. And I built my SCX10 and my Wraith, then built one more of each, buying every thing off of E-bay to see if I could do it, and a EXO and rebuild a HPI Mini Trophy Truck, and rescued a Arrma Vortex stadium truck from a total idiot, and rebuilt it but don't use it. It had to be done for my love of R/C's and public decency. it's a long story and not going there tonight.

I bought from RC4WD, a set of XVD front axle set, and the hardware kit for the front and rear axles, and the steering link setup. I can't wait for my axles to make the truck even more scale with Yota I axles I got on here for a good deal.

I got my light buckets and I went with the yellow lens, it looks good, the rear lens I painted need a second coat, and I need to paint the side marker lens, and are going to add a off/on switch to the light and drill a hole in the cab to route the wiring out of the way.

I was able to figure out if, I sanded the headlight cages, they would fit over the Tamiya yellow lens that snap into the headlights buckets. So with the headlights off you see the yellow lettering, and with the headlights on and if look at them the right way the yellow lettering looks like it is glowing but I cant get it with camera to show you. I also figured which light retainers go to which light buckets, and in the last one you can kind of see the yellow on the PIAA, here is the Tamiya parts trees that had every thing I needed and the retainer for the turn signal that is next to the headlights are there also.

Today I de-chromed the side marker lights, I looked on here, googled it, tried simple green no luck, works great on paint, not chrome, then brake fluid, it did nothing the fluid was old and starting to change color no longer clear, don't have super clean, have tried it simple green is better in my opinion as parts cleaner. And finally I tried Easy off oven cleaner, I put the small parts in the oven cleaner spray lid, and sprayed them it foamed up covering the parts did it couple of times and moved them around in the oven cleaner, they were was no more chrome in less than 5 minutes, they look better black, since I'm not going to try and paint and glue those little lens on, model glue is not strong enough and CA glue always runs on me and dry white looking like crap, so I tighten the screws that hold the marker lights on so the led are not flush the stick out a little.

I decided to cut out the side windows in the cab, since I'm going to use the MMP esc and a Sensored Tekin Redline 13.5 turn brushless motor, and this way there should be no heat issues. I was able to get the windshield to suck up tight against the roof line. So it looks good even with the dents and bends and there is no gaps between the windshield and the cab.

I bought some nice used Gear Head 1.9'' CAC 6 spoke Rock Racer rims, and some used TF2 sliders and a used front and rear bumpers on SCX10 chassis mounts, I will have to make new mounts for the bumpers and see if I can mount the sliders cause my 4Ten chassis is different from a TF2. I hope the Aisin/Yota hubs fit in the front and the rear with the Gear Head rims, cause the hubs tighten on the Toyota axles and the rims don't wobble, when I used the hubs on the SCX10 axles the rims would wobble and the would not tighten up, the threads on the axles are different lengths and the hubs work best on the Toyota axles.

I got the wheels and tires mounted up, the previous owner drilled the center of the rims to fit Wraith hubs, I had an extra set of them to get the wheels to work, and I use them on my wraith also, I got the front and rear TF2 bumpers mounted, need to figure out a mount for the sliders, I'll come up with something.

I wanted a real winch cause I bought some of the Tamiya Wild Willy drivers and these winches come on the parts tree, they look pretty good for what they are, going to add a fake cable and hook it to the bumpers to add detail some day. Here is the front and rear of my Jeep and the rear of my Honcho, the front bumper has a Fairlead in the bumper, they would look good with a cable and hook.

I got my sliders almost finished I need to make a mount/bracket for the sliders front hole, and I made a plate that goes between the steering servo and the front bumper mount to stiffen and strengthen it up for my new RC4WD winch I got coming next week, and I figured out if moved the chassis stiffer bar forward the body would fully tilt back like a old school funny car, I hope the winch isn't to wide so I can still lift the body off, if not I will have moved the bumper out to get more room.

I might get lucky it looks like the winch might not be wide enough to stop me from lifting the body up. here is the tech drawning and dimensions of the winch. I'm thinking the fair lead of the winch sticks out pass the top bar of the bumper. I found picture of a Toyota with a Warn winch, I think my bumper sticks out farther then a TF2 does, if not I will have to adjust it, so I can flip up the body with taking off the bumper cause I got my lights installed in the bumper and want my four lights.

I got the front mounting hole on the sliders mounted up using a bicycle chain link like I did on body mounts, they look pretty good and are even, It didn't take that long once I figured it out.

I got my winch mounted up, it me a little while to troubleshoot, the problem of bad batteries in the remote it would bind, I took the ones with Chines writing and put in the spare Panasonics one and rebind it and yeah baby I got a working Winch I like the way it looks it and adds more scale detail and there is enough space between the winch and bumper, so I can still lift the body off.

I put the Metallica vinyl sticker on top of truck box lid, I like it looks good, now I need to spray the Dullacote coat over it to seal it up.

It's only money, I bought a 32p 14T,15T pinions and a 32p 56T spur gear to go 60/15 or 56/14 to get the 4:1 gear ratio, and when looking for gears, I found these Holmes Hobbies Trail Master 13.5 turn Sensored brushless motors for $45.00 a piece, I bought three and some bullet connectors to wire up the motors, I really like my Holmes Hobbies brushed Torque Master Pro that is 35T, I should love these brushless motors. Don't get me wrong I love my Tekin RedLines 13.5 Sensored Brushless motors, mine are well used and just wanted something new.

I got my new Holmes Hobbies Sensored brushless motors, they have adjustable timing, this things are pretty sweet, and my 32p 14T,15T pinions and my 32p 56T spur gear, they sent me the wrong bullet connectors, they sent me the 5.5mm ones, I need the 4mm bullet connectors, not cutting and re-soldering the esc, every motor or esc I own are 4mm to make it easier

I used a M4 bolt with the head cut off to center up the hub in my cordless drill, and used a file and some sandpaper and a Scotchbrite pad to give a nice clean finish. And I shaved down the front hubs to fit inside the rim hubs and fit loose enough, so they spin freely as tighten up the front hubs on to the axles. The rims looks good with the Aisin/Yota front hubs, the rears one did not need to shaved down, I like the look of the truck now, it looks even more scale now.
