I also drilled out the leaf spring hangers and put in these carriage bolts with fiber lock nuts, so I now I know the leaf springs are securely mounted.

Cool my 1 3/8'' x 2 1/8'' x 14 GA Machine washers came in there at Lowes Hardware. so now I can make my self some Bead lock Rings. I'm thinking about going up to Western Nevada College and use the manual mill and drill them on the mill so they come out nice and look good. Lowes screwed up there not even at the store yet I went to McMasters and bought a 100 4-40 x 3/8 Stainless Steel Socket cap screws and 100 Stainless Steel # flat washers going to paint the rings black maybe Last edited by kgb424; 02-04-2016 at 04:01 PM. |

I haven't got my Machine Washers yet, but I did get my 100 4-40 x 3/8 stainless steel cap screws and a 100 size #4 washer are a little too big, I'm now thinking I should of got a size #2 flat washers or the same size as cap screw heads, I will see if the #4 washers will work with the bead lock rings. They look better with the Stainless cap screws there a little shiny and I like it.

I got my Machine Washers today from Lowes, buy on line, and they ship to local store, for free I need to see, if I can go and use the manual mill up at the College and lay these out correctly and drill them out to a little bigger then the 4-40 cap screws I'm using cause I can't find the right size washers that are the same size as the head of the 4-40 cap screws. so if I use the right size end mill or drill bit I wont need the washers Thinking about painting the bead lock rings black, but I don't think it would adhere right and if scratched, it would the peel right off, might work if primed first, but if I cant get the primer to stick, I'm screwed, maybe they can be Anodized black or died, they are 14GA steel I could send them out thru the college connections, since I am a former A.A.S. Degree graduate from the college. and the instructor is good people and doesn't mind old students coming in and using the manual machines, the CNC's are for the current students. I can use the CNC's just got ask first. the manuals mills will do Last edited by kgb424; 02-04-2016 at 04:01 PM. |

yeah baby I got my Warn Winch Fairlead and I like a lot seriously it make it look even more scale I bought another spool of Steelon Nylon Coated wire that's is rated 80 LBS Test now I can re-spool my winch, not sure how much cable it will take if wrapped tight and close together maybe 2 or 3 rows across the winch spool maybe less The Warn Fairlead is so much cleaner and nicer than any thing, I made, it was worth the wait to get it. I got one of my SCX10's back, so I switch out the wheels, the GearHead 1.9'' CAC Wheels look a lot better with the Super Swamper XL's and the silver Honcho Cab, I then mounted the PitBulls on the Super Shafty Dog Dish Wheels, and the spare looks good now that they all match. The Super Shafty wheels were painted black once buy me, but it scratch off and peeled really easy as I was putting them back together, So I removed the paint. I think they would look good anodized black, I need to talk to the Machining Teacher at the Junior College and see if I can get them anodized after the x-mas break in the new year.

Its taken me awhile but I finally found a set of 1.9'' bead locks with the right offset to use on Mini Desert Trophy Truck. They are the G-Made VR-01 bead locks with some used Tomahawks that are 102 mm, I got some less aggressive 1.9'' 100 mm tall tires not sure of there name coming in the mail

I finally made my mind up and went with the RC4WD Black Pro 10 rims and I bought a single Black Pro 10 for a spare, I also like and wanted to use my old school RC4WD 6 lug Original Wagon Wheel rims with the solid back dish but I couldn't find a single rim for a spare so I went with the Pro 10's they are still being sold and in production, my OG Wagon Wheels are discounted and long gone. I mounted up some 1.9'' Super Swampers TSL's XL one the Wagon Wheels and put them on my SCX10 Rubicon Jeep body

I got a late Christmas present from my Niece and my Grand Niece and Nephews, I got 2 sets of Rear Locks and 2 sets of C-Hubs, 2 sets of Knuckles and 2 Steering Linkage Kits There from ST Racing, I like them they are pretty nice, it took me a minute to figure out how seat the bigger bearing for the hub on the inside of the steering knuckle. It was easy to put them both together in no time at all, and I had the bigger rod ends and 3mm set screws in my spare parts to assemble the steering linkages right, cause different rod ends are either to short and the axles are not straight, use the Axial ones it calls for, and they are the right length and the axles are straight.
