Default Jeep Brute body

Has anyone done a build thread on a Jeep Brute body? I tried using the search function but the most recent was from June and the images were no longer available (they were linked to Dropbox)

I assume im going to have to cut up a New Bright or similar body, and make the bed from Styrene. But I wanted to see what others were doing. Theres got to be more than one way, right?

i picked up an old Nikko Jeep Wrangler hardbody on the cheap so i can practice on it. I'll use this thread to show my progress, or lack thereof.

It's still in the building stage.

That's the same body I started with. I haven't made any new progress for quite awhile, but would like to finish it.

Here's my build thread

Yup...your're right. It's not finished...it's still about the same as the pics. The top had me baffled so I put it up for awhile.

my plan is to cut it at the back of the doors and only fab the roof and bed area. still gathering material, hope to start cutting soon

There are a ton of builds out there.. though most are jk8's labeled as brutes.
There is a fantastic j12 by sgtbham ( https://www.google.com/url?q=http://...fbr5dtqOK4wvtg ).
I have yet to see any one do a brute with the raised section in the roof that most 1:1 brutes seem to have.

Here are some I like:

*River Raider inspired JK Brute*

Jeep Brute/JK8 thread.

ScaleReady makes a Brute.....

These are two of my favorites:

1.9 Jeep BRUTE - Project ORANGE CRUSHER - MAINE CRAWLING PHOTOS !!!

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/paint...ght=jeep+brute

Hope that helps.
Good luck on your project!!
