Default Patching paint

Hello all!

I painted my proline lexan 2 door jk body yesterday. I decided on gun metal grey, with black roof and fenders (of course). It didn't turn out too bad but there is a patch on each of the doors where the paint is weird. It appears to be more silver and I think that I didn't shake the can up well enough when I painted that bit. So my question is; can I use a very soft grit sandpaper to wear it down on the inside (just on that patch) and then repaint that spot?

Cheers, Hammer

I would try using a decal on the door to cover up the uneven spots.

Silver is hard to get to look consistent. It could have even been that you sprayed the paint a little thicker in those spots. It would be even harder to try to remove some of the paint, repaint and not have it show up.

The s to is too big to use a decal. It basically covers the whole door and spreads over a bit more. Btw it's gun metal grey and the problem is that there is a patch that is way more silver, and has a definitive line separating it from the grey.

Maybe a remover of some type but I don't know what would be safe on Lexan other than the stuff I have at work for eyeglasses, FYI it is called ( ALL OFF) and it is safe on raw polycarb so I'm guessing it would be ok on Lexan and it will remove any type of paint or clear coat.
