rusted / aged hard body help I saw an online video by RC Sparks, but that's about all I have been able to find. Anyone else know of any good tips for aging/rusting a hardbody Mojave? I want to make it look like an 82 like it should, but not like one that has been sitting in the junkjunkyard since 83... if that makes sense. Thanks! |

Re: rusted / aged hard body help Both those rig's look awesome and I like RMD's methods..probably the simplest technique with the biggest impact ,but being a hard plastic body and not Lexan there are quite a few techniques you can use. The two most popular in the model kit world is the hairspray technique and the salt technique. There are ton's of tutorials on YouTube so I won't take the time to write all of it ,but the impact and realistic look it produces is second to none. This is some of Virgil aka Dr Cranky's work..the go to guy for weathering styrene. http://i1256.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4c0a372c.jpg http://i1256.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7ae303d2.jpg http://i1256.photobucket.com/albums/...psfb80204c.jpg |
