Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? I had the Duratrax Chrome paint preordered at Tower Hobbies. I just got an email saying that my preorder was cancelled because they aren't going to carry this product. I looked on the Duratrax website and chrome paint is nowhere to be found. Does anybody know why? I was hoping we'd have a good alternative since SpazStix sucks. |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? Poopy. I've had rotten luck with Tamiya and was hoping duratrax would save the day. |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? Why does Spazstix suck? Just curious on your thought about them. |

Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? 1 Attachment(s) Spazstix chrome has been good to me lol. |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? Hard to argue that "thumbsup" |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? I found you needed to use several coats...and it's expensive .....but it sure looks nice when you are done |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? several coats is a good thing. much deeper brighter chrome. |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? Spazstix is the best without question IMO and it loves the airbrush you get good mileage that way. |
Re: Duratrax Chrome Paint - DOA? I haven't had any experience with SpazStix chrome, but I painted my B5M buggy body in Fluorescent Red SpazStix paint and it flaked off like old house paint. That's the first time I've ever had issues with paint flaking off of a body. I had a friend paint a body for my Sawback for me and he used SpazStix paint. We'll see if I have better luck with that. |
