| Has anyone "wrapped" a lexan body??
I've seen wraps offered for the slash trucks from various companies but I'm not sure how they are produced. Are they selling form cut "decals" that are designed to curve the contours, or are they actually wraps? Meaning...a flat sheet of vinyl. I have access to plenty of vinyl but I'm not sure how the lexan will react to heat/hot vinyl. Looking for tips! Thanks! |

Have you considered Hydro dipping? I have not dipped a whole body but I have done it to a set of wheels. And they looked great.

I have, and may do just that. Can you dip the inside at all? I know outside would be easiest...

Don't know of any successful interior dips but the exterior holds up really well.

Do you have to prime/base the outside for it to dip properly? I'm wondering if I can blast the inside as usual and then dip the outside. I'm thinking it would be fun to do some carbon fiber hoods or something in my drift cars, and some extruded metal and such on my crawlers. Any info is much much appreciated.

no there is a solution that you spray on before you dip it, it comes in the kit. it does not have to be prepainted.
