what primer would one use on a plastic body?
going to be using parma paints for colour

for lexan you dont use primer, you wash the inside well and make sure its dry. Apply window masks and any graphic masking, mix paint and do your thing


EDIT: just looked through your threads and see you have a tf2. Sand the body with some light sandpaper and spray with sandable primer ( i like plastikote), let it dry and sand out any issues then start painting after you clean up the dust.

Use a primer that will go with your top coat. In other words if you want a brighter color use a flat white primer as a base coat, if you have or like darker colors you would want to use grey or a dark red primer. Either way I prefer the 2 in 1 Primer from Walmart. It runs around $3 a can, dries very quickly and is compatible with Testors, Tamiya and Model Masters paint.
