| Short WB bodies? 11.75" or 298mm +/-
My Axial Ax10 has gotten a little shorter as of late & was thinking of a new body. Mounts can be fabbed so it doesn't have to be stock mounting. Currently I have a used nasty VW Beetle body on it and it works. Pics & links appreciated! |

All the Tamiya bodies for the CC01 and CR01 have a pretty short WB. Bronco, FJ40, Jeep, Pajero

Clod bodies are short and Parma makes a lexan version to save some weight. Ebay is your best bet though, looks like they may have discontinued it. Also the Lunchbox bodies are short and you don't see too many of them on the trails. Edit: I just looked at my lunchbox and it's closer to a 9" wheelbase. The lexan clod body or most meant for the traxxas stampede would fit nicely. Last edited by Elmo; 05-19-2015 at 06:55 PM. |

RC4WD now has the Toyota FJ40 hardbody available and it looks fantastic!

I know the Tamiya YJ body is closer to 10 inches (i had one but don't have the measurement), so that won't fit (in response to dna4engr), so I'm not sure, but I'm assuming the other swb tamiya bodies would have the same wheelbase so that rules them out. Really, 11.75" isn't actually that short wheelbase so don't rule out any options.

So far I've found the Tamiya FJ-40 off of the CR-01, #58405 but looks narrow under the Axial axles. (unless you're going or the monster look) Proline #3248-00, 1980 Chevy 12.2" wb, 6.9" wide Proline #3201-00, 1972 Chevy 11.4" wb, 6.7" wide Proline #3251-00, 1972 Chevy (likely really short) for Stampede Proline #3322-00, 2009 Jeep Wrangler 11.8" wb, 7.5" wide Proline #3321-00, 1992 Jeep Cherokee 11.8" wb, 7.3" wide Parma #10310A, 1950's panel Truck 10.63" wb, 7.5" wide Parma #10116, Old Fire Truck 11.8" wb, 7.0" wide Parma #10250, Jeep Honcho 10+?" wb, 7.25" wide |

Very nice Toyota. I picked up a Proline 2009 Jeep #3322. It looks surprisingly good except for the horrible thickness variances running right through the windows. Prolines QC has always been lack luster. Don't get me started about inserts. |

| Re: Short WB bodies? 11.75" or 298mm +/- I know right! I have three of those JKs (painted one today actually), and they all have uneven thickness all over.
