Default My first paint job

It's a Ford raptor body for my Slash. I know it's not a crawler but this was my practice run as my next is for my scx10.

Any tips or comments would be a great help.

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks, I'm really happy with the result I just wished I would have picked a different green. It doesn't really stand out from the black.

Did you back the green with silver or white? Most colors are a little lighter and brighter when they're backed with silver or white. If they're backed with black they get darker.

I backed it with black and I think that's my problem, I didn't think it would be that dark.

I also put on a light coat of flex seal. I was thinking it will add to the durability. Let's see how it holds up. Lol

Thumbs up Re: My first paint job

Its definitely a learning process. I get better with every body I cut & paint. You should keep the Lexan scraps & use them to test paint colors & combinations before doing the body. I've saved myself a couple of times doing that.

That's great advice thanks.

I'm getting ready to paint my second body soon.
