Default Body fabrication question

So if one wanted to take (2) Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin Bodies and build the following:

- Extend hood and front fenders 1.5" to open up wheel wells
- Make cab into extended cab (add approx 1.5")
- Extend bed in front of fenders by 1.5"
- Ended bed in middle of fenders (open up wheel well) by 1.5")

Would it be best to take 2 bodies and start hacking on them so the boddy lines naturally meet up and then sand and bondo it? Want to keep the narrow width but make the body longer for a possible mega truck build.

This would be my first major body project, so apologies for the newb questions.

Looking at more dimensions of the Midnight Pumpkin, its too small for cab height and width. Will have to switch to the Tamiya F-350 instead. Still want to to the same mods.

Any help is appreciated.

This may not be the answer that best fits your body fab question, but I also really like the '55-56 Ford F100. I just didn't want to chop and slice a 1/12 scale Pumpkin to stretch close to a 1/10 scale chassis. Plus given the quantity of modifications you want to make to a stock Pumpkin or two you may as well try to build one from scratch. Here is mine, it went to the paint shop today, but here is a pic or two. Its in the 1.9 build section if you want to see how I started it. I just changed it to 1.55's the wheel wells were just to small and I didn't want to make them over sized just to fit 1.9's.

Hope this helps.....
