| Re: Beer/Soda can bodies? I think it would look cool supporting your brand of beer. I have not done it for the reason below but It would be super easy to cut out, shape and make your holes. I wanted to do the same thing on my Wraith but i took a beer can to my rock garden i crawl at, smashed and drug a can to see what it would be like. Needless to say i never did it. It's too thin to consider it as a panel, especially in the high vulnerability parts.

I have also used cans as panels. Bend the edges over double to eliminate the sharp edge and your hands/fingers will thank you.

I bought a bottle of Bacardi the other day. The glass bottle came inside an aluminum "bottle" that has Bacardi and some other writing embossed (and painted) on it. It is a bit thicker than a beer can. I'll do some measuring and see whet kind of panels I could make out of it.

i use Keystone Light, 24 oz. cans on my wraith. that way the always smooth, Keith Stone is the driver. yes they are flimsy but i know when my rig goes on it's lid, makes cool sound. or you can use the inside for the out and make it aluminum color. i also back it with duct tape. like the nascar guys say: i'd like to thank the guys back in the body shop but they thank me, for making them get new body material.. |

I built a Wraith with Coors Light 24oz cans. Yes. Has sharp~ish edges, but needed to fit the logo. It holds up ok. I don't get a chance to drawl much, but enjoyed the build. ORA's Silver Bullet Wraith |
