Default Painting clear lenses on hilux body?

So what kind of paint should I be looking for to do this? I need to paint the tail lights and both side markers. So I guess I'll need amber and red?

I used model master acrylic transparent red and amber on one set and i used red and orange sharpie markers on the other set both sets of lights look good to me but the sharpie ones are easier to touch up

Tamiya makes clear orange and clear red paint. It comes in small jars which is plenty and will do many many lenses. I paid about $2.50 a bottle from my local hobby shop. I just painted some lenses tonight.

I hand painted the inside of these with a brush. I think they turned out pretty good for never having done this before. I like the sharpie idea but these lenses have posts on the back to attach to the body which would have made a sharpie hard to use I think.

I use an ultrafine sharpie to get into tight spots and a fine sharpie for the majority

x2 on the Tamiya clear red/orange.

I have been using this stuff on RC lens and model cars alike. Works good and looks great and you can clean your brush with warm water. More coats seems to make it look better. I usually go 2-3 coats before I'm happy with the result.

They come in a PS and TS spray also. If you Google images of Tamiya Clear Red or Orange, you can see some amazing things done with these.
