plastic roll cage screw hole filler? My new "thing" is painting the Axial roll cages gloss black so that they look more like a metal cage. Problem is the screws that hold the cage together are a dead giveaway. Has anybody filled the holes to cover the screws? With what product? I'm looking for something that can be sanded and painted. Has anybody done this? Bondo? |
Re: plastic roll cage screw hole filler? Just a thought 2 part epoxy should stick well hold up is sandable and paintable but you will never see those screws again |
Re: plastic roll cage screw hole filler? JB Weld. |

Re: plastic roll cage screw hole filler? Kneadatite Green stuff epoxy putty... dries semi flexible.. sandable, paintable.. and yet soft enough you could dig it back out with a knife later if you needed to. |
Re: plastic roll cage screw hole filler? I have use black RTV silicone to fill in the voids on the back of the lights. I imagine it may work for this. I am not sure about the painting, but once dry the silicone blends well with the plastic. |

Re: plastic roll cage screw hole filler? Rubberized black CA glue for tires would work great for that. Clean the holes good with rubbing alcohol or the like first. |
