Default HPI King Crawler Body

Does anyone make a more durable replacement body that would fit the HPI crawler? My son loves the truck, but the body is not standing up to the abuse. I've taped the cracks up but was hoping to find a body that is a little less brittle and will hold up better.

It depends on which body mounts you have. If you have the wider mounts for the jeep body, they are the same as an emaxx. You can really fit a lot of different bodies by adjusting the height of the body mounts though.

Yes, it came with the red Jeep body. The material the body is made from seems so thin. He also used the truck a lot in the snow and I'm sure the cold temps didn't help the body absorb abuse. Is there an option made from thicker or more robust material or are all these bodies made from this thin stuff? I have a pretty complete machine shop so making parts to adapt other designs shouldn't be too difficult if needed.

You can basically use any body that is supposed to fit a T-maxx, which is a whole lot of them.

Pro-line racing makes their monster truck bodies out of thicker .060" lexan and they have held up well for me.

You are right though, cold temperatures make the lexan brittle.
