Default Axial G6 body options - Pro-Line Jeep Comanche by

I bought a G6 kit last December. It's been modded and ungraded. I even put the Unlimited JK body on. I drove it once with the 12.3" WB and didn't like the break over angle and the overall size of the body is just too big for my tastes. I returned the WB to the G6 12" WB and prefer it. I'm now bored with the G6 body and looked for options but there are not many with a 12" WB. I decided I'd try the Proline MJ Comanche and low and behold it fits the 12" WB perfectly.

What are you guys running for bodies with a 12" WB?

You could always cut a lexan body and shorten/extend it I did a couple it just takes time and patience lol

I doubt I could make that modification successfully. There are some guys who have that talent, I unfortunately am not one of them. I'll stick with metal working.

I really like this body. Not quite the Ford F150 I'd prefer but it may be as close as I'll get. Hope to see you make some further modifications, I'll be watching for updates.

Looks good, I wish there were more 12.0" body options. More good scale looking 12.3" body options would be nice too!

This project has been sitting for some time. A few weeks ago I decided to try my hand at silver soldering and get the ball rolling on this MJ build. Here's an update. I had a set of sliders that I welded on but didn't have them exactly like I wanted. So I decided to try the silver solder and make them the way I had originally planned.

I also started a rear bumper. Still have a bit of tube to add but it's coming along.

Those are some pretty cool looking slides in the background. Not on topic. But cool never less.

Did u have to cut the fender wells to get the wheels to fit?

Because of the wheelbase or the tire size?

The wheelbase fits just fine without trimming. I think any WB from 12"-12.3" will work fine with this body. I trimmed the wheel well opening to run the bigger tires. This body was designed with 4.2 & 4.3" tire diameters in mind. I prefer to have my tires stick out about half the tire width. I like the look of the cut wheel wells as well. Hope that answered your question.
